Our Year 1 and Year 2 gymnastics teams finished the academic year in style at the Harrow School of Gymnastics competition. Competing against pupils from local primary schools, the children performed confidently in both the floor and vault events. They demonstrated excellent timing, strength, control and concentration, earning two gold medals, one bronze medal and several ribbons for scores above nine out of ten. Every gymnast also received a participation medal in recognition of being selected to represent the school.

We were extremely proud of the children’s teamwork, commitment and exemplary behaviour throughout the day. Our Year 6 gymnastics ambassadors were also praised by the organisers for their sportsmanship and leadership in supporting the younger pupils. After returning to a warm welcome at school, the teams visited each class to share their experiences. Thank you to Miss Rafferty, our families and everyone involved in preparing and supporting the children for this successful event.
